Ealing is, quite simply, one of the best-connected areas in London.
By road, there is direct access to the M4, M40 and M25, providing efficient links to towns and cities across the country, and the Western Avenue runs straight into central London. Heathrow, the world's busiest airport, is just eight miles away and only 20 minutes by train. And, as part of our commitment to improving transport infrastructure, the council has recently invested £8.5m on road improvements.
Ealing is serviced by three London Underground lines - the District, Piccadilly and Central - making all parts of London highly accessible. There are also nine national rail stations giving direct access to Reading, Heathrow and Paddington. And by 2018, there will be five new Crossrail stations, which will further strengthen an already impressive travel network.
