Ealing Council has been working with residents for the past year on plans to regenerate the Green Man Lane estate in West Ealing, which is in need of improvement due to overcrowding and poor design. Following a developer selection process, October 2009 saw the council’s Cabinet approve Rydon Construction and A2Dominion Group as the chosen partners.
Green Man Lane estate was built in the 1970s and has a total of 464 homes. Some of the problems on the estate have included anti-social behaviour, crime, too many one-bedroom properties, a lack of four-bedroom properties and derelict garages.

The partners have made a number of commitments for Green Man Lane. These include creating a place where people want to live and work, homes that are cheaper to run, bigger and better homes with their own outdoor space, and jobs and training for local people.
Rydon, as a developer, is working with residents, neighbours and local stakeholders to develop the masterplan for the site layout.
