Plans to improve the appearance of 10 shopping parades were announced in March. The £1.5million programme will make parades more attractive to visitors and shoppers and include improvements to street furniture, new street signs, resurfaced pavements, safer access for pedestrians and improved cycling and parking facilities.

The programme will improve the following shopping areas: Greenford Avenue, Horn Lane, The Avenue, Ruislip Road, Oldfields Circus, The Vale (near Acton Park), Beaconsfield Road, Queens Parade, The Vale (Hammersmith and Fulham borough boundary) and Lady Margaret Road.

If the plans are approved, consultation will take place with local residents and work could start in October, with completion by March 2011.
