Ealing Council has granted St George PLC planning permission to go ahead with the major development of Dickens Yard in Ealing Broadway. The decision to grant planning permission was made by the council’s planning committee and is supported by the Mayor of London. The Dickens Yard development is set to totally revolutionise the shopping experience in Ealing. St George PLC will now be able to proceed with the project to create 698 homes, 22 upmarket shops, a new community hall and a town square that will transform the centre of Ealing.
This development will not only improve shopping facilities and create new homes, but it will also create jobs and help to boost the local economy.
Demolition of existing buildings has already begun and groundwork on the new development is expected to start in March 2010.
