St Bernard’s Gate wins at First Time Buyers Awards

Catalyst’s St Bernard’s Gate development in Southall, Ealing, won the Best Large Development award at the First Time Buyers Awards in April.

This award is for developments of more than 80 homes, that have used the best design and quality to create an affordable, desirable and inspirational environment, and have provided additional facilities to benefit the local community.

St Bernard’s Gate makes innovative use of three Grade-II listed buildings to create a buzzing new neighbourhood that mixes modern housing with the area’s unique heritage.

The scheme is next to Ealing Hospital and close to the border between Southall and Hanwell. The project will be delivered across two phases, and will include 130 private sale, 98 shared ownership, 22 affordable rent apartments and 20 homes at the new London Living Rent.

The remarkable St Bernard’s Gate Chapel is to be refurbished into a creative hub that will provide affordable workspace for creatives, artists and makers.

The Catalyst team said, “Winning the award reflects our ongoing commitment to being a leading housing development business, providing more homes and great places to live.”
