It's Pasta Perfect for Ealing’s Restaurant Winners

Pasta Remoli scooped top spot in the second Ealing Restaurant Awards held on 17 October beating strong competition from some worthy competitors from across the borough,

With Nepalese restaurant Monty’s South Ealing in sceond place, and Steak on the Green and Tunisian Sidi Bou taking joint third, the awards showcased the diverse range of cuisines and independent restaurants that Ealing has to offer.

Held at Fade to Black, Hanwell, the Ealing Restaurant Awards were established to showcase the amazing selection of independent restaurants from around the Ealing area, they were designed to bridge a connection between the Ealing food scene, and London’s foodies. 25 independent restaurants entered this year, up from 20 in 2018, and public voting saw 2,300 votes compared to 700 votes in 2018.

Simone Remoli, Pasta Remoli owner, said, "We are honored to win the Ealing Restaurant Awards 2019, and we’re thrilled that our restaurant was recognised as best in the borough. We were up against some other amazing venues, and being selected by the public, including our incredible and loyal customers makes it so much more special.  We welcome you all to come and taste our delicious pasta dishes.”

The Ealing Restaurant Awards were co-founded by EatInEaling which is run by Rebecca Hamano Cabot, and Andy Gittens, Sales Manager at Debaere, one of Ealing’s leading patisserie and artisan cake suppliers to coffee shops and restaurants. Both Andy and Rebecca, Ealing locals for many years, wanted to showcase the amazing array of cuisines that the west London borough has to offer.

Simone added, “A huge thank you to Rebecca and Andy for organising such an amazing, and important event, and for those who voted in recognising our team's hard work, creativity and skills and helping us make our mark in Ealing."

Andy said, “We wanted to make The Ealing Restaurant Awards all about connecting independent restaurants, and sponsors with the local and London community, and offering as much support and awareness as possible.

The event was also sponsored and supported by local companies DeBaere, Weird Beard, KettleShed Teas, Lawrence Brooks Whisky and spirits specialist, The Dodo Micropub and Nicola Gaughan of Iconic Creative, official photographer.

The Ealing Restaurant Awards are the only awards honouring the food scene in the Ealing area. They are raising great awareness and driving increased footfall into Ealing’s independent restaurants.
