Ealing Council awarded £100m for New Homes

Ealing Council will receive nearly £100,000,000 grant for 1,138 new genuinely affordable homes. The funding from the Mayor of London’s office, which was announced on 23 October, will give Ealing the biggest council housing programme in the capital.

The homes will be Ealing Council housing builds and will form part of the 2,500 genuinely affordable homes target that the council has commited to build over the nex four years.  The council will be working with its partners to deliver the balance.  

In total 26 London boroughs will share funding of more than £1billion to build 11,000 new council homes at social rent levels over the next four years.

The plans form the cornerstone of ‘Building Council Homes for Londoners’ – the first-ever City Hall programme dedicated to council homebuilding.
